Then we took a wicked method of transportation over to copenhagen. We drove onto a catamaran and then sailed over to copenhagen. It was very quick, about 1hr.
We went walking through copenhagen just taking in the sights and sounds :).
Then we took a Canal tour of Copenhagen, The water ways are a very important part of there history because this was there main method of trade.
This was a nice way to see the town because we could see from the water or we could get off and walk around. We saw some cool and important buildings.
The Copenhagen Opera House is the National Opera house of Denmark, and among the most modern opera houses of the world. It is located right on the water.
This is the Little Mermaid. She is very little .. but beautiful. Since 1913 she has been sitting here at Langelinje overlooking the Copenhagen harbour.
We even saw them working on this old sail boat :)
Then we went to see the military memorial monuments. There were three, built in honour of solders who have died defending their country.
Then we went to see the queens palace, Amalienborg Palace. It is the winter home of the Danish Royal Family.
Then we went to Christiania, this is a neighborhood of alternate lifestyle. They have their own laws, smoking weed in this area is "legal" because the police aren't allowed into this area. haha!
Look how far our rasta colours have come :)
Christiansborg Palace, is in central Copenhagen, it is the seat of the Folketing (the Danish parliament), the Danish Prime Minister's Office and the Danish Supreme Court.
This is the copenhagen stock exchange.
