SATURDAY, MARCH 24, 2012.

Im out of switzerland for the next 3 weeks. Switzerland to Copenhagen then to Holland.

Sally and Mie picked me up at the airport, we then took the 3 1/2 hr train to Arhus.

When we arrived got comfortable then went for a little walk on the beach :)
If you didn't know Denmark consist of a large peninsula, Jutland and many islands.

SUNDAY, MARCH 25, 2012.

Uncle Phillip and I went walking in the morning and saw this tree. It's full of pacifiers, kids hang them there when they are ready to give them up.

Then we went down by the harbor to see the boats.

After lunch we went bicycle riding into town. We saw the Arhus Teatre and an old church.

TUESDAY, MARCH 27, 2012

Then we took a wicked method of transportation over to copenhagen. We drove onto a catamaran and then sailed over to copenhagen. It was very quick, about 1hr.

We went walking through copenhagen just taking in the sights and sounds :).

Then we took a Canal tour of Copenhagen, The water ways are a very important part of there history because this was there main method of trade.

This was a nice way to see the town because we could see from the water or we could get off and walk around. We saw some cool and important buildings.

The Copenhagen Opera House is the National Opera house of Denmark, and among the most modern opera houses of the world. It is located right on the water.

This is the Little Mermaid. She is very little .. but beautiful. Since 1913 she has been sitting here at Langelinje overlooking the Copenhagen harbour.

We even saw them working on this old sail boat :)

Then we went to see the military memorial monuments.  There were three, built in honour of solders who have died defending their country.

Then we went to see the queens palace, Amalienborg Palace. It is the winter home of the Danish Royal Family.

Then we went to Christiania, this is a neighborhood of alternate lifestyle. They have their own laws, smoking weed in this area is "legal" because the police aren't allowed into this area. haha!

Look how far our rasta colours have come :)

Christiansborg Palace, is in central Copenhagen, it is the seat of the Folketing (the Danish parliament), the Danish Prime Minister's Office and the Danish Supreme Court.

This is the copenhagen stock exchange.
WEDNESDAY, MARCH 28, 2012.

We went to visit the Rosenborg Castle and Royal Treasury. The Treasury is where they keep all the royal heirlooms and jewelry.

Have a great week and Check back in next week to locate the Jamaican Gal Lost in Europe!

RELAXATION AND SCHOOL

How your week?
Mine has been relaxing :)
My friends had a trip to romania and I stayed at school. I just did school work and slept :) ... relaxing
THURSDAY, MARCH 8, 2012.

We had a wine lesson. This one was special because it was all about sweet wines. Some people love them but others don't.

Sauternes is a type of French sweet wine from the Sauternais region of the Graves section in Bordeaux. Sauternes is made from SémillonSauvignon Blanc, and Muscadelle grapes that have been affected by noble rot. It results in concentrated and distinctively flavored wines

Château d'Yquem is considered the best producer of sweet wines in the world. They are characterised by their complexity, concentration and sweetness. A relatively high acidity helps to balance the wine's sweetness.

SUNDAY, MARCH 11, 2012.

Well we felt for breakfast around 4 pm LOL!

The difference between the different 'cherries'
and how to serve it :) We even tried Colombian Coffee.
I had table decoration, I did Floral art :)

This is what we made in floral class, 1 is on my table and the other in the entrance hall, they are called Easter Trees.

Easter trees are a symbol of new life, and they're linked to the nature symbolism that runs through European Easter traditions.

WEDNESDAY, MARCH 14, 2012.

I was the hostess this week. This means I had to plan the conversation for the practical service exercise.

The table was decorated for easter :)
As a continuation of yesterday's Coffee lesson, after lunch we made Jamaican Blue Mountain Coffee for those girls who wanted to try it.

Have a great week and check in next week to locate the Jamaican Gal Lost in Europe!
