Andermatt!

How was your week?
Mine has been full of new activities and destinations.

THURSDAY, JANUARY 19, 2012

Had my french classes then skiing.

Then in the afternoon the school hosted a trip to Luzern. Its a gorgeous city located in the north-central Switzerland, in the German-speaking portion of that country. Lucerne is the most populous city in Central Switzerland. It is located on the shore of Lake Lucerne within sight of Mount Pilatus and Rigi in the Swiss Alps.
We had dinner and then some girls went shopping.

When the shops closed we walked around and just took in the sights and sounds :)

FRIDAY, JANUARY 20, 2012.

The weather was really bad all day so we had french class and they cancelled skiing.

SATURDAY, JANUARY 21, 2012

The bad weather continued so we couldn't ski, so the school hosted a trip to Lugano. It is about 2 hours away from Andermatt.

Then we went to a factory outlet called Fox Town, it has the best of the best brands at massive discounts.

I didnt buy anything but my friends got me a handbag for my birthday next week :)

MONDAY, JANUARY 23, 2012.

The weather started to clear up but the snow stared to turn to ice because of rain so it was hard to ski.

I was going down the hill and my ski actually got stuck in what I call an 'ice ditch' and I fell and pretty much twisted my back. It's hurting, but i'm resting and taking it easy.
Representing JA in my ski gear :)

TUESDAY, JANUARY 24, 2012.

Bad weather again so no skiing .. but it got worse :( we had french during the ski period, so I had 6 hrs of french in 1 day.

When that was over we got some time to study and rest.

At night we went up the hill in a gondola to a restaurant for Raclette.

It is a dish indigenous to parts of Switzerland. The Raclette cheese round is heated, either in front of a fire or by a special machine, then scraped onto plates, usually accompanied by potatoes, pearl onions and pickles.

WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 25, 2012.

The weather is ok to ski today but I rested my back, so I  didn't participate. Tonight we went sledding, soo much fun. We took a train up a hill then half way down the hill they arranged a stop for us with hot spice wine. I throughly enjoyed it :)

Now im going out dancing with some friends.
I hope you have a great week and check back in next week to locate The Jamaican Gal Lost in Europe!
