Finals Exams

How was your week?
Mine was intense, final exams and packing up to come home :)

THURSDAY, December 8, 2011.

I attended the tea party I was invited to, it was at the finishing school. For most of you this will be shocking because we know i generally dont like tea but it was delicious.

We had many different sandwiches, desserts and scones with clotted cream and strawberry jam ... delicious.

SATURDAY, December 10, 2011

Since it was our last weekend all together we went out for a nice dinner at the Montreux Palce Hotel. Some of the girls were only here for one term. It was a nice night and the food was delicious.

SUNDAY, December 11, 2011.

We went out for dinner again just to relax because we had all been studying all day for exams this week.

MONDAY, December 12, 2011.

We did the floral decorations for the Christmas dinner at Surval on Thursday.

TUESDAY, December 13, 2011.

Instead of table service we had an authentic Chinese Chopstick meal. We had: Dim Sum, Beef in oyster Sauce, Pork in Black Bean sauce, Sweet and Sour Shrimp, Stir fry vegetables and Steamed rice. For Dessert Watermelon :)

Awaiting Christmas and School

How was your week?
I am SUPER excited to come home in a few days :)

FRIDAY, DECEMBER 2, 2011.

This week I went back to the Christmas Market and did some shopping. Christmas is around the corner. Home in 9 Days :)

SATURDAY, DECEMBER 3, 2011.

Some friends and I went to Vevey and Rented Bicycles. Remember the saying 'You never forget how to ride a bike' Well you can and i did but it doesn't take long to get back up.

and it started snowing!

MONDAY, DECEMBER 5, 2011.

Christmas Theme :)

I did the flower arrangements, but it was more like a centre piece this week.

TUESDAY, DECEMBER 6, 2011.

In Switzerland it is believed that Saint Nicholas (Santa Clause) comes on December 6th to bring the children presents. Surval had their own Saint Nicholas bring presents.

Each French teacher choose two students to give presents to and each present came with a french note. Translated mine said "Since you are always tired don't lay your head on the table, lay it on this."

I got a pillow :)

Everyone got a goody bag with nuts and chocolate.

The gifts were then followed by dinner (meat fondue) and dancing to the live entertainment of Chico Freeman and Reto Weber.

Chico is a world renowned modern jazz tenor saxophonist and trumpeter.

WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 7, 2011.

In cooking class we made:

Appetizer: Puree Green peas soup with salmon.
Entree: Stew Veal, mashed sweet potato and polenta with apricots.
Dessert: Pistachio Custard with a dark chocolate disk.

Guess who is attending a tea party on Thursday Dec 8, 2011? ... me!

Exams next week so I will be studying hard this weekend. I hope you have a great week.

Check in next week to locate the Jamaican Gal Lost in Europe!
